If I am moving through ruins, how does this work?

Can I just move through it as per difficult terrain, or do I have to move around walls and such? If an area of terrain is declared 'ruins' can I move right through any 'walls' in that area of terrain?

I am still new to 40k and have been playing some games at the cavaliers club and have run into some inconsistency in how this is treated - personally I'm happy with any approach provided there is a norm that I can assume will be used.

Thanks for any help!

Hey Blade Ace! 40k is loaded with "?" moments like this. I have always played that you can move right through solid walls. 40k used to justify this in these terms: "We can presume that warriors in the far future will have suitable technology like laser cutters, highly corrosive acid bombs or just plain brute force to move through solid walls." You may come across the odd player that says: "You can't do that!" Of course you can. You have already rolled your difficult terrain dice to handicap your movement that phase. You're good as gold.
