So bouncing a few ideas around, and looking for feedback/suggestions/your thoughts.

Im thinking a few games around 800 points or so, with unusual settings and special conditions. Also a couple of 1500 pt games, using the set up and objectives from the 2.0 rulebook.

Also, how do we all feel about the TAC cards being used?

Asides from this Im going to be looking at painting/fluff, and a design competition, as they seem to be good fun.

More thoughts: a 500pt and a 1000pt list. 2 games with each of the 500 and 1000, and 2 with a 1500 combined fleet.

Unusual rules and settings for the smaller games, and standard rules for the larger ones.

That sounds good. It gives place for the sillyness while still allowing a couple of straight brawls.

You could probably fit in 2-3 of the small games and a larger 1000 point on the first day?

As for TAC cards, some people may not have a set? A solution is to shuffle, then cut the deck in half and players get to choose from a half deck.

At this stage Im looking at the following format for lists

A 500 pt and a 1000 pt list, which combine to make a 1500 pt list for larger games. Naval core, with standard 60/60/40 40 non-core.

The 1000pt list will be considered your main nation, and must consist of models entirely from it. The 500pt list may be from a close ally or mercenary nation.

Operational assets are allowed as part of either list, this means repair boats, troop ships, apollo fleet carriers etc, although they will count as non-core.

The 500pt list has the following restrictions:
1 large or massive model, no dreadnaughts
1 6hp medium
Half of the normal local air support (usually 5)
Max of 10 additional SAW

Must have a minimum of 100pts of small and 150 of medium, a large is not required.

Overall, the restrictions are:
1Dreadnaught class model
2 6hp mediums
Full local air support (usually 10)
Max of 20 additional SAW

If you try out lists or games at these points levels, let me know how long they take, so I can plan when/ how many games we have time for.

How does the LAS limit affect nations that normally get extra tokens?

[edited because I can't read]
