40K points value is not confirmed as of yet. Traditionally it has been 1750 to 1850 points.
Natcon this year is 2k over 3 days but since Southcon is only 2 days I would suggest it to be 6 games of 1850 points.
Last year we followed the ITC system with suggested model restrictions which I think needed to be tightened more as done for Natcon this year.

What do you think is a good points limit, how many games should be played and what restrictions should be included?

I Look forward to players suggestions.

Thanks for expressing your interest.

There is an OMTS Committee meeting on Sunday to check progress and 'fill in the gaps'.

We plan to post details asap after the meeting so stay tuned.

I will get Rich, the southcon coordinator to contact you.

Regards

Hello all, Kelly will be the TO for the 40K tournament at Southcon.
We will be using the ITC players pack for the tournament.
Be sure to reference the ITC 2017 FAQ and Format Guidelines.
We will be using the 2017 ITC Missions Pack

We will post the schedule once we confirm it with the Event organisers.
Lists are due Saturday May 27th at 8:00 am. Please send battle scribe files if possible to: gotrek2222@yahoo.com

https://www.frontlinegaming.org/…/itc-2015-season-40k-tour…/
Army list Restrictions Overview
1,850pts is the standard point limit.
Battle Forged armies only. No Unbound lists are allowed.
An army may be built using up to three Detachments.
ITC Faction: Note on your army list which Faction has the most points in it, this will count as your ITC Faction for scoring purposes.
An army may duplicate a single Detachment, one time.
Example: A list may include 2 CADs, but not 3 CADs. Or, a single CAD, and 2 Allied Detachments. Or, 3 Formations, 2 of which are the same Formation, etc.
This includes “Decurion Style” Meta-Detachments which are comprised of multiple datasheets and Formations. They may only take a single duplicate Formation, one time within the Meta-Detachment, although they make take duplicate Data Slate units within the Detachment if permitted to do so. Example: Necrons may take the Decurion with 2 Canoptek Harvest formations within it, but no other duplicate formations.
Note: “Decurion Style” Detachments comprised of multiple sub-detachments count as 1 detachment towards the 3 detachment limit.
A Detachment may not be included in an army if it is Come the Apocalypse allies with another Detachment in the army.
