I would be happy to umpire a board gaming event. I can provide all the games. Would be aiming to have two tables going with four people per table.

If space should become available, keep me in mind.

If Age Of Sigmarines is a totally different game from whfb, will there be 8th ed whfb? will AOS be an additional game that might be on offer? Or is the plan to replace whfb with AOS?

I guess this will be answerable in July?

Yeah good question.
Do you have a plan for how you want it to go or would it be up to the umpires?

AoS would have been out for 4 months by Conquest. If it is the replacement for WHFB I can't see too many people wanting to play 8th.
If there is another WHFB equivilent to be released a month after, then that's still 3 months, plenty of time to learn new rules.
Personally I would want to be playing the new edition/version/game at this point

If it's only a round based skirmish game that isn't whfb then I'm keen to use my current toys and play 8th.

Or KOW?

Or something that is a fantasy mass battle (whfb at 1500pts+).

Don't get me wrong, I will probably buy AOS, but I want to play a mass fantasy battle at conquest no matter what. I'm happy if it's a mix of both too.

The "9th Age" rules update from the Swe comp guys should be out by Conquest.

Sounds like a plan to me. Not that interested in playing AoS and don't want to waste time playing new WFB dollies if it isn't being played

When do you think we will have the final list of which games are on offer?

If there is no propper warhammer and no KOW type substitute, I will need to look into all the other games and decide what I want to play.. I will need time to get painting and or learn rules :)

Hi All

Conquest 2015 registration is now live. Come in to Comics and Register!

Given the success of last years, there may be limitations on space, so get in quick to avoid disappointment!

We currently going to be offering Warhammer 8th as the Warhammer Fantasy competition, with the possibility of Age of Sigmar as well. (Depending on what further releases there are for AoS.)

This will be the last time we offer Warhammer 8th, so sign up and give it the swan song it deserves!

Cheers

John

Hey John, keen to give Fantasy 8th a go if it's your last year running it but it will depend on how many models I need to get painted. Do you have an idea of the points limit yet? Need to know asap as I need to get stuck into painting.

We're currently looking at 2400pts for the Fantasy competition, it's pretty much the standard size at the moment.

It'll probably use the usual 'Lite Comp' from Pete Dunn system as well.

Weither we use the End Times books has yet to be decided - we'll be talking with the Ref this week.

Sweet, good call, glad there is some old world action.

I can leave the: not playing at conquest vs starting up a new game choice for next year :)

Ps changing points limits up or down, or throwing in some sort of curve ball would be cool for the last ever old world wfb tournament at conquest.

If end times are allowed, might be fun to allow 25% allies if no end times stuff is in your list or something.
