Nope.

As i said earlier, Experimental rules are not being used at Conquest. This isn't a case of rules being "official" (whatever that means), it means that anything with the Experimental designation is out for Conquest. It's similar to the other rules for the event (no "come the apocalypse" allies, as well as the restrictions on what sort of super heavies are allowed) - it a restriction for this event, not for the game as a whole.

That said, as i've pointed out a few posts earlier, Christchurch has heaps of events, all run by different people. If you're keen to run this, i'm pretty sure that one of the other events will be allowing experimental rules. Just not this one.

It's also fine to run in local games at the club, etc. We're very inclusive at Cavs (Shirley/St Albans club) and are happy to play whatever people bring.

The rules for this event are really just rules for this event, so feel free to buy a big toy from FW and talk to organisers of other events to see if you can work something out with them.

The 1st "draft" of attendees is up, so if you think your name should be there and it isn't, best talk to Comics and get that sorted

As per the updated 1st post, lists are due on the 16th of October at 11:59pm. Any book released before that time (Tau?) is eligible to be used. If the new Tau book does drop right close to the cut off, i'm happy to have you play the older book for Conquest, just communicate clearly which book you're using.

yup, it's the combo of "ignores cover", AP2, and larger blast markers that we're avoiding here, so as along as the Stompa doesn't have those things, then we're good

James and JD were thinking of you and your love of Tau last night (and chuckling a lot) but i'm just having you on for the moment. Let me know if there's someone you do want to face

A Grudge match between myself (Jonathan Brens) and Steve Gulliver is being demanded for!
Can we make this happen Wes? we have a score to settle for our last Conquest match up.

More names added to the list of attendees, which is awesome. Keep those sign ups coming.

Reminder that lists are due in 2.5 weeks.

That's because James Abbot is clearly a fantastic human being.

Make sure you, and everyone else gets registered. I'd like to have an indication of who's coming sooner than later. I'll be checking in with Comics again about who's registered this Friday
