Warclouds over Woolston
Warmachine teams event

When: Feb 8th and 9th, doors will be open at 8:00am each day. Gaming to start 9:00am.

List building: Teams of two with 2 35pt lists per player, character restrictions apply so any choice with field allowance: C may not appear more than once across any of the lists in your team. Epic versions of Warcasters and Warlocks are not considered to be the same choice for this purpose. Each round it will be your opposing team, not yourselves who pick which lists your team will use that game.

Rounds & missions: There will be a total of 6 rounds played with missions from Steamroller 2014, or the most current Beta in the unlikely event that it has not been released by then.

Finding a team mate: If you have a team already organised then great, if not people can enter as individuals and I will pair you up. Team names are encouraged but not required.

What you will need to bring:
-Your fully painted armies.
-Copies of both your army lists, printed or on Warroom.
-Tokens to represent fury/focus points and any effects or ability effects that you will need to make apparent during the game.
-Rules for any theme forces you choose to use, either in print or on Warroom.
-Dice, tape measure, rulebook, cards, marker pen to track damage.

Registration information:
Register by contacting tournament organiser Adam Oakson. Email adam_314@hotmail.com. Please indicate who your teammate will be or if you would like me to find you someone. Lists must be submitted by Monday Jan 27th.

Entry is $20 per person, payment must be made no later than Monday Jan 27th.

Please note : All payments must have a reference and, or identification, as to who made the payment and for what system. Unidentified payments will cause problems for all involved.

We should be able to host one or two people for this if required.

Hey

Couple of us in Nelson have just started playing Warmachine, and I think we could be interested in playing a tournemnet just for the practice, but...

..and it's a big BUT, we don't have much in the way of miniatures, couple of starter boxes and mostly unpainted.

Are there any players in Christchurch who have enough miniaturtes and would be willing to let us borrow/use them? As it would be our fisrt tournement we wouldn't be worried what faction they were, just want some experiance with the rules.

Cheers Richard

Hi Richard,

There are a fair few players in Christchurch with multiple factions who I'm sure will be willing to lend some models, if there are any particular factions you're interested in I'd suggest emailing the TO, Adam, on the address above and he can ask around here.

Cheers.

How does the teams comp work?

Each player needs 2 list, so 4 total for team?

Do you and team mate play same game together or seperate?

You play together on the same table at the same time. You have two lists each and your opponents pick which list you're going to play, and you pick which lists they are going to play. This is to avoid a team building two lists together with a very nasty synergy. Your lists can't share characters though. So if one person takes rhupert for example in one list the other 3 lists (yours and your team mates) can't have him as well.

Hi Fatismo, welcome to Warmachine. If you need any help with arranging armies to borrow or list building advice feel free to flick me an email. I can probably also help you arrange accommodation and transport if you need it while you're in town for the tournament. Are you on Facebook? If so friend me (Adam Oakson) and I'll add you to our Warmachine group where you can get all the latest updates with tournaments and other Warmachine events going on.

If I can get the half-dozen or so models done by the tournament, then I have a fairly sizable cryx army I could lend out.

As we have 6 teams and 6 rounds the format will be a round robin for 5 rounds then a final round.
