Warmachine

Day 1
35 point pools, 45 minute death clock, 5 rounds. Players will be organised into pools of 6 (as far as possible). RHQ rankings will be used to determine pool members to attempt to create even pools overall but we will also be trying to separate players based on city as much as practical so you don't end up playing your travelling buddies all day. Games will be played within the pools and players ranked 1-6 in their pool at the end of the day.
Days 2 & 3
50 points, 70 minute death clock, 6-7 rounds. The pool players will be grouped into two competitions by their pool rank: ranks 1-3 will play in the "seriously sober" tourney, 4-6 in the "drinkers bracket". A third competition may be added depending on numbers, in which case each pool will be split three ways. There will be separate prizes for each of the competitions with an overall painting prize based on a best single Warlock/Warcaster model put forward for judging by each player.
Forces and Scoring
All scenarios will use SR2014 standard rules. All four lists for each player must be submitted via email to adam_314@hotmail.com by April 4th. Tiebreaker scoring will be the standard strength of schedule system from the SR2014 packet.
Players must use the same faction over the whole weekend but the 50 point lists do not have to use the same casters/locks as the 35 point lists, this is not an escalation format.
Players are requested to bring their list to each day on a SR2014 player sheet from the Steamroller tournament pack.

You have a clock with 45 mins on it, every time you are acting your time goes down. When you reach 0 you lose, unless the game has already ended through normal conditions. Same for your opponent.

So there is no limit to how long each invidivual turn takes just that you have a total of 45 mins?

Also what is rules for unpainted or proxy figures, just that I'd be hard pressed to come up with a fully painted 35pt army, let alone a 50pt one

There is a good chance that figures could be loaned to you depending what you want.

We have several players here with multiple factions, work out what you need and we will see if we can cover you.

Hi guys,

are you able to confirm whether or not models are required to be painted? Suspect I know the answer but it never hurts to clarify!

Yes painting is required, though if you have issues getting something in particular ready in time there a plenty of friendly locals who may be able to help out with loaned models. :)

Is there some sort of minimum number of entries that will be required for the split format? or is that going to be going ahead regardless of how many players enter?

The format may be tweaked slightly depending on numbers but the basic idea if it is required. That will be a last resort though, and it will still remain 35pts day one and a separate 50pt competition over day's 2 and 3.
