My first lot of 54mm figures for the diorama by film maker Sir Peter Jackson. Rather depressing...
I used lots of washes on these, which is something I normally don't use very much.

Looking good; nice range of colours given that some of the initial instructions might have produced a somewhat too uniform result

I saw some in Napier that a local gamer had painted and they had got a very similar look to yours as well.

Well got word from Alan Perry and turns out they were mislabelled and actually British!! So had to do a quick repaint of tunics so they were all brown.

Also added some Turkish casualites (picture below), and officers, more pics here:

What a pain; when I saw the colours I thought I was looking at shirts rather than tunics. Therefore the multicolours looked good as there were generally a wide range of shirts worn by Poms and Anzacs - what ever Mum sent over.

Still looking good though

Yes using washes these 54 figures are actually pretty easy to paint! Thought it would be more of a bother than it turned out to be. WWI uniforms are pretty basic of course.
