The first results have been submitted for this year's "League of Captains". This is of course the fancy name for our Renaissance DBR League. After a series of games on Sunday Mark Bradley has stolen a march on some local veterans with two victories from as many games.

The current results can be found here:

Details on how to join us on the league table can be found here:

Remember, to participate you don't need to be a member of any particular wargames club, indeed it is open to all DBR players in the Canterbury region.

Finally, new players, or gnarly veterans, are also most welcome to join us with armies often being able to be provided.

The Renaissance League table has been updated.

Some eleven games have now been submitted to the league and involve eight players. All games currently submitted have involved 300 point games in normal scale, though other games are encouraged of course.

Mark retains his position at the front of the pack. However, all players are now out of the starting blocks and many are closing on him.

The current standings can be found here:

The final results for the League of Captains 2012, our Renaissance League using the DBR rules, are now on-line.

As a starter here are some pictures of a few of the contributing games. Firstly, Royalists vs Roundheads at the CWC. Lord Morton seeks to teach an invading Roundhead, from Timaru, a lesson...

Another Englisg Civil War encounter, resulting in victory for Lord Penney...

Japanese and Siberians engaged in battle, no doubt after Japans historic invasion of Korea in the 16th Century...

Additional photos, as well as a brief summary of the league, and a link to the complete results can be found here:
