The date for the next Renaissance "Harquebusiers & Hussars" has been set for Sunday the 29th of April. As always we will be using the DBR rules and Kiwi Points.

This time the format will be 300pt games using "Normal Scale" with two games in the day. Fixed terrain will be used.

Full details can be found here:

Please note there will likely be a limited number of loan armies available, but please register early if would like to borrow one.

We now have six registered players. They are:
Mark Bradley
Jim Morton
John Kerr
Keith McNelly
Dave Batchelor
Stephen Malone

If anyone else wishes to register they may. However, in the interests of preventing byes these additional registrations will be confirmed in pairs, or if someone is forced to pull out.

Last Sunday our local Renaissance event "Harquebusiers & Hussars" was held. The games involved seven players with, as it transpired, games based around the English Civil War. Each player declaring for either King or Parliament. The format, 300 point armies on smaller tables with fixed terrain, was very well received and clearly deemed an ideal size for the time available.

Stephen Malone managed to secure the Captain General's Cup after some stiff competition for the most outstanding game event.

I posted a brief report of the event on my website earlier in the week. Should you be interested you can find the article here:

The next round of "Harquebusiers & Hussars" is pencilled in for November. You do not need to have played in this April event to participate in November and some loan armies may be available. Hopefully we will see you there!
