I'm putting my hand up to run Dystopian Wars at Tempest this year, Im looking to have it be a fairly fun-focused and beginner-friendly thing

format:
Naval based
Fleet Size: Naval Battle Group starter boxes. updates: No upgrades that cost points. I'm going to allow switching of options, but they have to be declared at the start of the round.

Number of Games: 4 games, 2 one hour and 2 two hour rounds (+ time for set-up the like).

The two 1 hour games will be using only certain models from the starters.
All 4 rounds will involve Sass-designed scenarios,

Date: Saturday 20th of April
Times: As per the main announcement "Set up from 0800, finished and packed away by 5 ish"
So it would be handy if people could indeed be available at 8 to give a hand setting up, you will get bonus karma.
other wise I'll be looking to have round one started at 8:45

Venue: St Albans Shirley Club
Cost: $10

PM or Post here any questions and if you want to sign up

Also pretty keen, assuming I am not working.

I really like the starter box idea. I liked my starter box so much that I got two...

Also keen.
It'd be cool if we had a few 'scout' battles that are nice and fast and maybe impact on the later games.

Thanks for the update, answers some questions I had. 8 am might be a bit 'bright and early' for my household but once kids are whipped in line I am sure I can sweep in before start time, put down some models and play.

Speaking of which, how you set for naval terrain? I have four Islands and some sandbars that might do for a table. Not a densely populated table, but not totally empty ocean either. They could come along and be chucked down very quickly.

In terms of terrain, if people want to bring along naval terrain that would be great,
I'm not looking to have the table too terrain heavy as I suspect the scenarios will need some 'room' but I will see on the day. Mostly It will be hills-as-islands (which technically islands actually sorta are)
