South Island Championship of Blood Bowl (SIC Bowl) - Tempest 2010

Invitation:
ChriBBL invites coaches from all parts to compete for the first ever SIC Bowl at Tempest.

Schedule:
3 matches will be played at various municipal stadiums around the city (to be confirmed) on Saturday 31st of July, with 2 matches (including playoffs) played at the Tempest event at Shirley St Albans Club on Sunday 1st August.

Format:
1,100k gold resurrection tournament with each team allowed 5 normal skills, played under the Competition Rules set (LRB6). Slann, Underworld and Chaos Pact teams will be allowed. No Wizards, no Stars and no Cards allowed. As tournament Comish I will adjudicate on all disputes, especially if they are in my favour! Bribes will be gleefully accepted. 3 matches on Saturday, 2 on Sunday. After pool play (3-4 matches), teams will be ranked for playoffs by Points (3 for win, 1 for draw, 0 for loss), then result if played tied opponent, then CAS dif, then TD dif, then composition, then sportsmanship, then coin toss, then Ro Sham Bo (definition 2, www.urbandictionary.com). No bonus points for TDs or CAS.

Schedule:
3 matches will be played at various municipal stadiums around the city (to be confirmed) on Saturday 31st of July, with 2 matches (including playoffs) played at the Tempest event at Shirley St Albans Club on Sunday 1st August.

Registration:
Please email name, likely team race and contact details to yeatesa@xtra.co.nz to register. It would be nice if rosters are submitted prior to 24th of July. Like I said above, get in early to guarantee a spot. Late entries will be accepted if possible. $10 for Cavs members, $15 for non-members. As per Tempest rules, teams will need to be painted to a minimum standard of 3 colours.

Numbers:
Obviously we need even numbers, so be in quick to guarantee your spot.

Facilities:
On the Saturday, supply your own food & drink. On Sunday, full bar and food facilities are available.

Trophies:
Aside from the illustrious SIC Bowl and associated South Island Champion bragging rights the following awards will be up for grabs:
· Bloodbath Idol award (most CAS plus bonus point for a Kill and further bonus point for killing an Orc, Dwarf, Big Guy or Gutter Runner).
· Grim Dwarf award (least touchdowns conceded).
· Elven pride award (most touchdowns scored).
· Smiling Halfling award (best sportsman).
· Drunken Gobbo award (highest composition – take note, Halfling, Goblin & Ogre coaches).
· Yawning Dwork award (lowest composition – take note, Dwarf & Orc coaches).
· Wooden spoon (just blame the dice).

PM or post if any questions.

Cheers
Gus

Thank you to the eagle eyed punter who pointed out that a tournament duration of one month might get in the way of the elf players regular beauty spa.

Starting date of play has been edited to 31st of July.

Also altered rules wording altered around inducements (wink wink Halflings and Gobbos).

Cheers
Gus

News Update:
A week to go a everyone has been penalised a point for not submitting their roster, except for myself because no one can prove that I didn't and even if I hadn't I'm the Tourney Comish and would have appealed and ruled in my favour.

First days play (Saturday 31 July) will be at Paul's house at 86A Memorial Ave with kick off for the first match around 9am.

Cheers
Gus
