Okay please forgive the question, just want to clear something up, we still need to take 1 HQ and 2 different troops choices from our codex then once of each section untill 1000 pts are used up after that ? yes

Its normal force selection yes, so 1 HQ 2 Troops.

However, the twist is you are not allowed to have duplicates of any choice; eg only one squad of tactical space marines as troops, and if you select a rhino then you can't have any more rhinos. One of anything, thats it. But you don't have to take anything more than the 1 HQ 2 Troops.

Thank you alphz Well I am looking at turning up, its either take a Blood Angels DOA list or some Grey Knights

HQ: Librarian:
Troop: 5 Grey Knight Strike Squad:
Troop: 5 Grey Knight Terminator Squad: Justicar Thawn (the jesus justicar)
Elite: Techmarine
Heavy Support: Land raider crusader

Yeah I know its only 12 models in a 1000 pt game but what the hell it wont take much to pack up or play will it ?
Not a lot of killpoints either

Painting the grey buggers right now, yes they are evil, to be honest Matt Ward has stuffed the GK fluff what a load of bollocks. At least the blood angels have honest fluff. Its pretty obvious that chaos has got to the Inquisition if not the Grey Knights through Matt Ward, the Order just dont know it yet

No, sorry. You are still restricted to 1 tervigon, regardless of which FOC slot it occupies

Hey, Will the necron Phase out be altered for this event? Some Cron players will find that they get sneezed at and will loose as necrons are designed to be supported by the overly expensive elites and fast attack (immortals, destroyers etc....) At this points size most of these options are not viable as you loose your valuable Necron count to field the units that actually win games.........

Just a thought

Necrons won't be particularly fun, but I've seen a couple ways they could be done... It mostly involves reserving warriors and trying to fight with the rest of your army.

Take 40 warriors, use a res orb and a monolith to warp them back through the portal each turn and allow re-rolls to we'll be back... not a great choice, but if you're taking necrons, you already knew that...

Yes, last year I did change Necron phase out to a lower number. I didn't do it this year because of the funky changes to the list building would have enough of a change on the meta-game. If I had done extensive "playtesting" of the list building requirements I might have been swayed to lowering phase out again but I am not willing to make what seems like an innocent rules fix which boosts one army to the point there in-game preformance like it would.

I couldn't see it written anywhere...

So what time does this start? Slash a general time schedule for the day.

Cheers,

yes, turn up at 8:30, start gaming at 9:00. there will be 1.5 hours per game with about 15 mins between. If gaming is fast we can move on to the next round if everyone is finished. if everything goes well we should finish gaming around 4 giving us time for clean-up and prize giving.
