With little warning, and entirely without prior knowledge of the committee, the section representative announced that there would be a meeting between Woolston board, club members, and committee.

This was scheduled for two days from the announcement at 9pm 8/5/18, ie meeting on 10/5/18
Due to the fact that this is completely inappropiate and unreasonable Vincent has spent the day getting to the bottom of this, and has managed to pencil in this meeting for next Thursday, ie 17/5/18, unless it can be established before then that this is entirely frivolous in nature, in which case there may have to be consequences. Hopefully this will give the committee time to get information out to the membership, rather than just whoever made the complaint. It is completely unreasonable to expect that people would meet under such vague circumstances with so little warning.

Upon looking into this the President has found that a large document of complaints has been handed over directly to the Woolston board, without any consultation of the committee.
The committee is saddened and disappointed by this act as it seems to usurp the proper authority structure, and make the section appear disorganised/disreputable in front of our parent organisation.
Concerns should be raised with the committee. If the committee is unresponsive to said concerns there are procedures for no confidence in the committee, but these require certain a number of people to be in agreement, in order to demonstrate that they have real support.

We do not expect to see decision making hijacked by individuals going behind the committee's back.
The committee has real work to do, so this sort of thing helps noone.
