There is a rumour on the One Ring forum that when LoTR and WoTR are re-released before The Hobbit that they will both be in the one book.

I actually quite like that idea. Although if the army lists are in there as well it would be a pretty hefty book.

That's what I've heard too - makes sense and I'd make the bet that much space can be saved by making many of the LOTR lists available online and just cranking out book for them it demand spikes once more.

What I really want to see is concepts artwork of how they intend to do Esgaroth/Dale in the films so I can get started on a WOTR version of that now.

Well word now is that it is definitely NOT combined SBG/WOTR :( Though the SBG one is due to be released in about a month?

That's a shame. I still think it's a good idea.

Never really played SBG. Wonder if I should buy the book...

I'm not likely to. The game never grabbed me at all and I have SAGA for skirmish scale.

I see there are rumours of new models next month, I wonder what they could be.

Also see that the prices have been raised for the plastics. $44 nz for 12 goblins! how the hell does one play Wotr when they are that expensive. I'm glad I've picked up around 1500 points of brand new elves and Rohan off ebay for less than $250.

If there's some kind of starter box for LoTR it may have Goblins in it.

The info from Harry on Warseer is:

There is a LotR relaunch in February ... with loads of minis.

Rule book comes a little bit later.

It won't be for wotr - its a combined book for LoTR SBG and all the supplements.

I'm giving WOTR players the same suggestion I give WHFB players - plastic historicals!

They look great - right Ray? I mean, the men of Gondor make perfect Anglo-Danes, do they not?

At least in this game your Warlord can't do an Epic Journey.
He took almost as much killing as Aragorn did though...

There is something to be said for getting miniatures to do double duty.
I'm thinking I might use my Saga army as Dunlending Huscarls for my Isengard army, and probably as Empire troops for my Warhammer army as well.

The Warlord seems to die as often as Aragorn though. Will have to work on that.

Word from Warseer is now NO WOTR BOOK and the game will shift to specialist games style support.

No real surprise I guess. The battle of five armies will inevitably be in the 2nd movie, so I suppose that would be the time to release a new WoTR book.
