Now I've got your attention! I was hoping someone would know some good paint strippers for plastic miniatures. Asking abroad has given a few good ideas (nail polish remover seems to work) but usually there is the issue of foreign brand-names.

Any reliable kiwi brands (or what I can find in store) that will do the trick?

'simple green' cleaning product.

Bunnnings / Mitre 10,

soak for a few days then use tooth brush, back to soak as often as required to result you want.

This also breaks down glue so you may need to re-glue after.

Nail polish removers that are acetone-based will certainly remove paint from your plastic kit, but they will also melt your plastic kit into soup. Really disgusting, poisonous soup.

Yep Simple Green is what I've used.

Simple Green gets my vote too! Very effective; just scrub off the "melted" paint scunge with a toothbrush (possibly one you no longer use for your teeth).

Partial success with simple green, from what I understand it depends what the mini's where painted with.

You did leave the figures submerged for a week (or more), didn't you?
