Can someone please tell me what the deal is with the new citidel washes on advance order. How are they different from standard inks? Are they replacing the old inks, which are suspiciously absent from the colour chart in the back of this months white dwarf?

There different because they have a medium build into them. What this means is when you do a wash or a glaze the ink won't pool on surface areas as much and will flow easyer into recesses.

And yes they are replacing the old ones

Did you mean to say "They are different.." as opposed to 'There different..'?

Cheers

The greater concern would be if his grammer was perfect as this would mean he is sobering up.

Bought some from GW Silva Park on Monday and got a demo from the nice people there. They are MUCH thicker than you expect the medium makes them almost gel like and they stay where you put them, they don't run into crevices. It also means you can wipe washes off parts of a model without having it run back from else where. They Don't need water unless you want to use them as a glaze, and they will require a bit of experimentation to use them to there full potential.

Hmm

I think I need another chestnut ink to finish my nids before it disappears. It would be annoying to have to change my theme at this stage.

Baaaa!

From what I read in the white dwarf they seem like they're either going to be ok, or completely idiot proofed.
