Hi all,

I'm looking at running a small Mordheim league from July through to September. I'm thinking about 9 games total (3 games per month) to be nice and easy for people. Games would be one on one so no need for a huge table for each game (Mordheim uses quite a lot of terrain). At the end, I might organise a final game with more than 2 players on a table.
League pack is going to be:
- Warbands from main rulebook only (this is to keep it simple and see how it goes before we dive into extra warbands in the future)
- Start a new warband at the beginning of the league and keep it through
- Models do not need to be painted and I'll be very tolerant on proxies (so long as it's as WYSIWYG as possible)
- max of 6 models that can shoot per warband
- other than that we follow the rules from the rulebook
- games will be the casual mission with warpstone tokens scattered across the table

At the moment, I'm thinking about starting the league on Sunday 19th July (weekend after Cavcon). After that, I'll put up dates for every month, but people are free to play outside those dates if it's more practical for them. The idea is 3 games per month, that can probably be done in one Sunday (remember 1 vs 1 and small tables to get some action going). People should play each other person in the league once before playing again versus someone they already played (depending on numbers).

Who would be interested and can commit to 3 games a month?

Cheers,
Alex

Definitely interested!

I just have to figure out if I can get some suitable miniatures.

Hi.

I'm keen to play in the league.

The Warbands from the main rulebook are mercs, Sisters of Sigmar, Witch Hunter, the Possessed, Undead and Skaven right? I'm new to this game so I might as well ask well I'm here, are pistols worth it? I'm thinking about making my army from the Perry Miniatures War of the Roses infantry box set, but that doesn't have any Pistols so I though I better ask before I bought.

Thanks.
Mr. E

I think thats all the main ones yes

Here are the rules-

Pistols aren't essential to a human mercenary warband as long as you can get bows from the perry set. You could also get crossbows from anyone who has the perry light cavalry set.

There are a few more actually, which are not necessary directly in the main rulebook but still official though.

Please follow the link below to find ALL YOU NEED to play (rules, warbands, scenario etc...). It's well organised as well :D

http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?339889-Mordheim-PDFs

Go into Warbands>Official and you can select from there. Just follow the couple of restrictions I've mentioned.

Faulk: If you really are in trouble finding miniatures, just speak to the guys at the club and I'm sure someone might be able to lend you some miniatures. Again, they don't need to be GW, they don't need to be painted, just assembled and WYSIWYG as much as possible.

Good to see people motivated for this :D

No worries, I am pretty sure I can get a box of minis, especially if won't start before July.

So, is this going to be a thing?
Because I'd hate to buy miniatures I'm not going to use...

I've got a spare gang around you can use if you want. They're human mercs. And I'm either going to start a new gang or use my witch hunters.
