Hi all

Great to see Auckland wargamers hosting New Zealand's first post-COVID-19 lockdown DBMM competition. It was a one day event at Pukekohe on Queen's Birthday. I have copied Andrew Bennett's report below and there are lots of pics on the DBMM New Zealand Facebook and copied onto our blog. Well done Gerard and those Scots!

Also, the Wellington Warlords resumed meetings on Saturday, 30 May 2020, and we have a pic and game report from there. There was another meeting at the Warlords yesterday, Saturday, 6 June 2020, with pics and reports from DBBM games to come.

Benny's report from the Pukekohe one-dayer:

We had a great day yesterday [Monday, 1 June 2020] at Pukekohe with 12 players attending not to mention 2 or 3 interested visitors.
Special mention to Noel who (as Scout Master) helps get us access to the Scout Hall and was playing his first ever games of DBMM!!

Results were:
38 - Gerard Lelieveld - Pre Feudal Scots
    35 - Richard Foster - Normans
    35 - John Calnan - French Ordonnance
    33 - Ivan Truong - Medieval Fench
    31 - Noel - 100YW English
    28 - Grant Brown - Early Libyans
    25 - Al Donald - WOTR English
    22 - Mark Caunter - Later Carthaginian
    17 - Rob Sadler - Medieval Portuguese
    17 - Philip Abela - Philistine
    17 - Benny - South Welsh
    2 - Ben Hill - Ghaznavid

Updates on the Facebook and blog include:
40-year-old Carthaginian chariots refurbished for DBMM
    Painting Dark Age infantry
    PDF of DBMM? (sorry, no)
    Pukekohe one day competition
Communal Italians vs Teutonic Knights at the Wellington Warlords

Check out all the news on our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/824840264342234/ and blog http://dbmmnewzealand.blogspot.com/

Best regards
Vince
