Allen Yaxley post following information. Well done Allen for running the competition, Tilman for winning, and all who took part. Again, my apologies for withdrawing on Friday after injuring my arm.

Vince

Best Army: Dirk ( New Kingdom Egyptian )

Baggage Looter: Tilman ( Kommenian Byzantine )

General Slayer: Alastair Duncan ( Later Carthaginian )

"Worst dice I have ever had": Jim Morton 5 x 1's in a row at a vital combat stage in game.

Gary Lewis won Best presented Terrain award & John Van den Hoeven for best effort to present new terrain.

I put a bit of effort into making sure that terrain improves as the standard of armies has so awarded effort. Gary had many comments on his terrain & my judges were impressed with him & John. I hope to see more from gamers at our 'Winter Cup" which this year will have "River Crossings" as the centre piece for each battle.

Next up is the 25mm DBR & DBMM comps at Easter. Back with details soon.

Thank you to everyone who attended DBMM Valley-Con, Tilman , Richard & Jim who travelled from afar. Alastair for tabling 9 Elephants, Mark for his lovely new scratch built Castle ( nice cogs to). Brent & Richard Mason who held out through a long & hot weekend, everyone who came out to dinner with us & all those who helped shift tables & clean up. In fact the whole 14 of you. Great weekends gaming & some very nice Armies.

I think we have gained two new players to DBMM form the visitors/other gamers which is always a bonus.

Cheers
Allen
