If you are interested in the Malifaux Miniatures game by Wyrd, D6 games (a new Christchurch based company) will be selling starter sets shortly. See www.d6games.co.nz to contact them if you wish to express interest in obtaining a starter set.

Can anyone tell me how Malifaux plays as a game system? The minis are absolutely superb and I love the feel of it, but I'd want some recommendations before I shelled out for dollies.

Cool, from the little I've played it seems like a great game.

Is it just me, or is it ironic that D6 games will be promoting a game with no dice? :D

Hey K,

I've been playing since 2009 and its a great game. I have lots of the models and they painty up very nice.

The rule book has the rules and the factions with stats for all the models. Its a great read as well. For a 25SS starter scrap you might have 4-6 models. I picked a master that I liked Pandora(Neverborn faction) and got a box set. My mate picked Sonnia (guild faction). Games take about 90 mins and are very tactical, with play alternating back and forth.

You play on a 3 foot square board. Have a look at http://www.wargameraz.com/uploads/Malif ... 20v1.2.pdf for a summary (its the best one I've seen).

I dont think you will regret giving it a go. Just watch out for the black joker ;-)

If your coming to Southcon pop up and have a look at the demo game I'm having. I'm trying to get some interest from within the South Island and thinking of trying to organise a "tourney".
