As we will be loosing the fellow I like to call Jeremy later in the year I thought we would give him some sort of final fling...so lube up Mike...your up... Seriously though, I propose to run a campaign weekend involving any who wish to participate. Something uncomplicated and fast paced I reckon, sometime in late September or early October and including Land as well as sea games. Maybe some Legion games as well...maybe... I plan to run the event so that players who are only available for part of the time can join in as much or as little as they wish. Anything anyone would like to see, suggestions, thoughts or interest parties? The setting is Bering Sea, Alaskan Coastline and the Aleutian Island chain, in summer.

This certainly piques my interest. I'm really liking DW 2.0, I need more games of it.

Maybe a teams thing would be cool. One team member attacking another teams stuff while the other team member defends their teams stuff from other teams attackers. Might lead to some interesting scenarios.

The legendary Sludgy will remain an option to those that wish to risk enraging him, as is only right and just.

I am chasing up the dates at the moment but should be either weekends of 20/21 September or 4/5 October. Details are as follows at this stage. I would love to have enough players to run a pairs event, pairs should consist of players using core fleets that are not enemies. If the pairs thing dosn't work out we will run a standard event - no worries. Players who are unable to play the entire weekend will be permitted to join in as much or as little as they wish, I have some sneaky plans to deal with this. Fleets are 1100 points total, easily catered for in the new rules. The first 700 points must be spent in full on Naval models from your own nation/fleet list only...no Non Naval, Mercs, Allies etc etc Min 1 Small, 1 Medium and 1 large/Massive - but Max 2 Large/Massive/Battle Cruisers The remaining 400 points can be spent on anything else you wish incl Allies, Flyers, Mercs, Merchant Vessels...no Large or Massive vessels or Fortifications in this force please. Thoughts, Interest or Ideas anyone

As this is just a fun muck around weekend, I see no problem with unpainted models. If we do the the pairs thing, I am happy to put people into a pair if they don't have a partner, I just need to know the details. It appears we have some interest in Land, Air and Legions. Any-one interested in playing these formats should let me know so that I can adjust the Fleet restrictions as required.

Payment for the event can be made on the day, to me... I need confirmed entries by e-mail, DGL Facebook Page or this forum page by Sunday 28 September please everyone. I need to know the following things when you enter, as well as your name naturally. Whether you are playing Grand Coalition, Imperial Bond or Neutral The other member of your team If you are able to play all weekend or not Which of the following types of Fleet you are interested in playing (as many as you want) - Naval Core - Air Core - Land Core - Legions

I will be putting the list of nations that can ally up here and on the Face book sites in the next day or so, so that people can organize their pairs. The sooner I get the names in, the sooner I can prepare the territories that are being fought over. The sooner you enter, the better your territories are likely to be as my imagination has its limits...not to mention my model collection. Anyone without a partner can still enter and I can pair people up with a suitable match. As this is just a fun weekend, no prizes will be given, no points will be allocated for winning and loosing. I encourage you all to take fun fleets.

Hi Every-one Here are the details for the up-coming Dystopian Wars campaign weekend. As this is just a Shits and Giggles event there will be no scoring, win bonuses or prizes. Results will be tallied to decide the winning faction. Unpainted models are allowed, as are suitable conversions and stand ins. I have ditched the pair’s thing as this was causing a bit of hassle, instead we will be playing Imperial Bond v Grand Coalition v Neutrals/Mercs. I am still up for some Legions games if there are enough willing players, but I need to know soon. Grand Coalition Nations include Britannia, FSA, Russia, Canada, Royal Australia, India (if released) Polish-Lith Comm, East India Coy, Eclipse Coy. Imperial Bond Nations include Prussia, Blazing Sun, France, Chinese, Denmark, Ottomans Italians, Wani, Black Wolf Coy Neutral Nations can include Cov of Antarctica, Free Aust, Ottomans, Italians Black Wolf Coy, East India Coy, Eclipse Coy
Fleets (Naval, Land or Air) are 1100 points total, easily catered for in the new rules. The first 700 points must be spent in full on Core models from your own nation/fleet list only...no Non Core, Mercs, Allies, Fortifications etc etc Min 1 Small, 1 Medium and 1 large/Massive - but Max 2 Large/Massive/Battle Cruisers The remaining 400 points can be spent on anything else you wish incl Allies, Non Core, Mercs, Merchant Vessels...no Large or Massive vessels or Fortifications in this force please. Any Nation may take Mercenaries, Merchant Vessels or Allies as part of their 400 point lists.
When you enter I need to know whether you are playing for the Imperial Bond, Grand Coalition, or Neutrals/Mercs factions and if you want to play with Land, Naval and/or Air fleets. Entrants need to contact me by 28 September please, either by E-mail, Facebook, Text or via the South Island forums (pm me)
A background story will be published soon.
