Hi Napoleonic Wargamers.

With the 200 year commemoration of the battle of Waterloo approaching on the 18th June. I would like to organizer
a big multi-player Re fight of the battle in 28mm-25mm scale.

To this end I will be calling a meeting on Sunday the 15th February at 2-30pm at the Woolston Club in the top west room.[b]This is for people who wish to take part or express an interest in being involved.

Issued to be discussed are.

The rule set to be used (my preference at this stage is FOGN but this is not writing in stone.)

How many models(Stands) are available mainly French,British & Allies this will determine the scale of the event we run also terrain.

Venue, Date,Time.

Who will be Napoleon and Wellington.(and they have to dress up as well :D )

I would like this event to be open to the public and media to promote the hobby I will be looking for ideas.

Hope to see you all on the 15th.

Basil

Yeah I can't make this meeting sorry.

But I've got French:
Cav: 1 Carabinier, 2 Cuirassier, 3 Chasseur, 1 Lancer, 2 Hussar
Infantry: 12 Line Infantry
Artillery: 4 Guard Arty, 8 Line Arty, 6 Horse Artillery.

Will probably have more available by June.

FOG sounds like an bad choice for multiplayer public display game. Go with Blackpowder that lots of people know, and if they don't they can understand it very quickly.

Hi Guys

The meeting today has been a real success we have decided to

use the General de Brigade rule set but a simplified version for quicker game play.

The date will be the 20th & 21st of June with set up on the evening of the Friday 19th
In the top west room.(room still needs to be confirmed by the Woolston Club)

It looks like Mark will be Napoleon(to be confirmed) and I will be Wellington.

A full order on battle will be sent out to players with figures. To see what unit that can be provided
at this early stage it looks like we are going to have lots of toys on the table.

I hope to have another meeting some time in March again.

Hi,

No mention of Prussians ?

Can you add me to the list please

I have:

French\French allies
25 x 24 figure units
12 x 12 figure cavalry units
8 guns.

Maybe 5 British, 2 guns and 2 Cav (one of which is the Scots greys)

Cheers

Taling to Basil the other day I think the Guard Grenadiers a Cheval are probably most needed, but Basil should confirm.
