I am happy to try average dice at a competition (say the next GarageCon or even next Easter’s Natcon) so long as the dice decision is made and published as part of the competition format. That provides everyone with a chance to practice with the ‘new’ rules before deciding whether or not to attend the competition. What irks me is when attempts are made to change the published or generally accepted rules AFTER I’ve booked my airfares.

Having said that, Tilman was simply floating a suggestion for consideration. And the rest of us were simply saying no.

I recall we may have tried “no superior troops allowed” comps under FoG in the past. Perhaps Tilman will organise an Average comp in Nelson over the Summer?

I am happy to try average dice too but as I have suggested to Tilman we need to playtest it thoroughly before we inflict it on everyone else. Josh has been the only crash test dummy so far.
It is early days for ADLG, we still have points changes, quality restrictions, average dice, unranked armies, worst performing armies and possibly elephant army only tournaments to explore yet :)

See you in a few weeks!
Shaun, Richard, Josh and I have registered.

Aaron

According to a certain red-beardedsource who I cannot name we have 12 players coming. Not all have paid yet, so get a move on those who haven't.
I have already received 1 army list.

Don't forget to bring your whistles and rattles for the Roaring Chorus just after 11am on the Sunday (Armistice Day centenary and the end of WW1).
